Monday

Good morning everyone! It is Monday! Ugh lol. I hope everyone enjoyed there weekend. As you know this past sat. was International Scrap day and I thought I would join in on the festivities and go scrap with Prima. Well that did not pan out very well I am afraid. My computer kept booting me off or I could not log in or hear any sound. So I decided I would just scrap with my friend and work on any new or existing projects. I figured I can always go back afterwards and try to watch the recordings. The project I decided to work on was the Walter Fall Album from the Wishes and Dreams collection by Leeza Gibbons. I love this collection so much! It is just beautiful! I finished cutting the paper out and now I need to adhere them to the album and add my embellishments. I am thinking about adding extra pockets on mine. In between all the cutting I was still trying to get on Ustream with Prima. Lol  I hope everyone had an awesome fun filled day scrapping.

I also went to my sons last training day for becoming a fire fighter and had a picnic. He will be graduating within two weeks. I took lots of pictures and will be making a layout or two for him I just need to find a paper line that will work for the occasion. Any suggestions?

Hope everyone has a fantastic day! Please leave me any comments and subscribe to my page.Thank you for coming and have a blessed day.

It's Friday!

Good evening my friends! It is Friday! Yay! I hope all of you have a fantastic weekend. Just wanted to keep all of you up to date. Last night my best friend and I made ATC cards at her home. I had a wonderful time. Cards that were made on my part were March thru May. I took a drive and mailed them out today. Armie you should be getting those by Mon or Tues. On the May ATC cards  I did a take of Frank Garcia's tutorial. If you have not had a chance to check out this video go to Ustream  Prima Marketing live. I did not do everything that Frank had done on the scrapbook album but I was happy with the results. I did order the Album from my local scrapbook store "Stamp Cache". Can't wait till it gets here! Tomorrow I will be making a you tube video of the ATC cards I made. Of course I made an extra card of each just for me. Lol!
I hope all of you have wonderful night and remember, create, create, create and above all have fun fun fun! Bye for now. Emerald

I will be working on today my ATC card which will be due at the end of this month. It"s just around the corner. Where did the month go? Lol

It's Friday

Hello everyone! It has been such a day lol! It's Friday! Yay! I completely forgot I had a dental appointment so I was not able to finish up my card for the card contest at Stamp Cache. I will have to get it completed tomorrow. I hope every ones weekend has been kicked off to a good start. Thank you for coming and have a wonderful night.
Hello everyone! I have been working real hard on my blog to get it up and running! I plan on applying to Primas design team call. This would be my first if I am accepted. There is so many wonderful talent out there and with much more experience than I but the way I see it I have to start somewhere. I decided to apply to the design team call because I love there products as much as I love Graphic 45 and Tim Holtz! I have to admit I am excited about applying.
We are constantly learning new things and I look forward to it with open arms.

Later today I will be working on my card contest challenge for Stamp Cache in Palmer Alaska. My card will be due soon. I'll post pictures of it once I am done with it before I turn in my card. for now I will be heading to bed. It is 12:21 AM Friday morning. See you all later and please leave any comments. If you like what you see please subscribe to my blog and share. Good night everyone and God Bless!

Cards

The following are cards that I had made from card challenges that I had entered at my local scrapbook store. I had fun in creating cards out of the tiny kit we were provided. The challenge is creating a card out of three elements in kit plus a stamp from her store. We also would use items from our own stash. When I first started doing this challenge I thought how in the world am I going to make something out of this? Lol I was so new to the paper crafting industry that I was both excited and a little intimidated. Linda from Stamp Cache in Palmer AK has helped me step out of the box and just go with the flow. She would always say there is no right way or wrong way of doing something. There are no mistakes just happy surprises lol! Thank you Linda for helping me in your classes and for the card contest challenge.  I hope you all enjoy the following photos.

I taught myself to make this heart watching you tube channel

This is my take on a video I saw on you tube. I wish I could remember who's channel it was but it has been a while back for both the heart and card above. I do apologize. If I could remember I would give the credit where it is due.

I have many more but I don't want to overwhelm people. I hope you enjoy my blog. Please leave a comment and as always tips and suggestions are always welcome!

Memorial Shadow Box

The following shadow box project is a memorial to my mother and step father. I had gone down to Arizona for my step fathers funeral and I decided to make this project before leaving AZ. I did not have any of my supplies with me so after the funeral I went to Hobby Lobby and purchased some paper and card stock., flowers, ribbon, numerical stickers and a shadow box frame. I made this for myself and for my sister. I only made one so I gifted this project to my sister. I wish I could say if I used Prima or Recollection flowers. This was my first shadow box. My sister loved the gift.

Please feel free to leave any comments and as always and tips or suggestions are always welcome!

Shadow Box of moms wedding day

I would like to share this layout I made of my moms wedding. I will be placing this into a black shadow box. I came across this picture as I was trying to organize my picture collection of many years. lol In This layout I used memory die cuts, In  this layout I used Kaiser craft Sweet Nothings sticker sheet for bouquet, Sweet Nothings paper for background and fussy cutting.  Die cut some tags from Memory Box, Half of a Bo Bunny Label, Tim Holtz Shimmer Sheetz, Stickles. Butterfly blanks dry embossed. Used my Spellbinders 3D M-Bossabilities embossing folder. Created Spiral flowers and used flat back pearls for the center of my flowers.  I also used  some Prima flowers and fussy cut the lace of background paper and some butterflies. Used Spiced Marmalade from Tim Holtz distress pad on a a wooden frame. This project was lots of fun!

This is the finished project.

Thank you for stopping in. Please leave a comment and as always any tips or suggestions are welcome!

Canvas Layout

Hi everyone! Wanted to share with you a project I did centered on my mother. My mother was such a beautiful woman inside and outside. She would always try to help people out if she could. My mothers passing anniversary was March and In order to help myself get through it I decided to do some scrapping therapy! It was a wonderful way for me to honour my mother as well as help myself. I used different product on this layout. I started off by painting a 11x14 canvas in pink. While that dried I distressed a doily and some card stock I found at Michael's that had a doily border. I cut pieces of this border and distressed. I took the September paper from A moment in time from Graphic 45 and there paper from the Lady's diary collection. I fussy cut a Lady and cut our tags from the collection. I used the remember journal spot from that collection and distressed those as well with Tim Holtz distress pads. I used Victorian velvet and tea die thru out my project. I bought a box of wooden fans from Michaels and painted one of them with Tim Holtz new product Distress paint. Love this stuff! I took some lace from my stash and distressed that with Adirondack color wash by Ranger, While everything was drying I used the die cut Tattered Floral from you guessed it Tim Holtz. I used Distress paint and grunge board, tissue paper, burlap, acetate and Prima bird button for the center of my flower. I believe it is from there Lyric collection. Beautiful buttons. I also used some of the Prima Flowers and Recollection crochet flower.  I painted  a wooden flower from Prima wooden embellishments and stickled with some stickles from Ranger.I also used some flowers from the sew section of a local dept. store. After all the prepping was done I arranged my layout to see how I would like for it to look and once satisfied I adhered everything with  3 in 1, foam adhesive and hot glue. The lace going around the canvas is from Stamp Cache in Palmer, Alaska. The pink feather is from Michael's. I had lots of fun making this project. Hope you like it. Please fill free to leave me a comment. As always any tips or suggestions are always welcome!
